Her Excellency, Mrs. Adedeji, a career officer of the Nigeria Foreign Service, has served as a Nigerian diplomat since 1993. She most recently served as Chargé d’ Affaires ad-interim at the Nigeria High Commission in the Republic of Mozambique. Before her assignment in Mozambique, Mrs. Adedeji served in different capacities in the Nigeria  Embassies in Washington-DC, from 2010-2013, Niger Republic, from 2003-2007, and  Nigeria High Commission in India, from 1998-2000. She also worked on African Union  Sessional meetings in Addis-Ababa. 

Mrs. Adedeji has served in different senior management and diplomatic positions in the  Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Protocol  Department, Foreign Service Academy, Administration Department, and other political and economic desks of the Ministry. 

She has a B.A. in History from the University of Benin, Benin-city, Nigeria, and a master’s degree in International Relations from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. Mrs.  Adedeji was appointed High Commissioner of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the  Republic of Botswana in 2020.
